I’m thankful for every single person that has ever let me take their photo. I am even more thankful to those that have paid me to do so!
Being on the other side of a lens is a completely different experience; it gives me the creative freedom to view the world in my own way.
You won’t find the proverbial accolades and the countless list of awards and publications on this site (other than some of my clients I choose to list). This is me and who I am – a plain and ordinary individual with an extreme passion for photography – especially wedding photography! To me, weddings are raw, emotional and passionate events.
I am a full time Photographer and Videographer and also teach photography and offer photography courses at my photography school - Camera Wise School of Photography.
My own studio allows me the freedom of expression in a controlled environment. Both my technical knowledge and strong point of view ( I am flexible too) have allowed me to work and play well with others. My passion for people, products and places has given me the freedom to work with corporate, design, wedding, property and advertising clients.
My house is a work in progress - but then, isn’t life as well?

We all have images of our lives today………. but what about from the past? These images were scanned so the quality is not that great – I cannot find the negatives anywhere!

Yep, did that too! Must have had rocks in my head????? Skydiving at the Parachute Club in Bloemfontein

One of my more memorable images which made it into the local newspaper in Bloemfontein circa 1986. And you thought the flyby during the 1995 Rugby World Cup was low? This pilot was counting the stones on the runway he was that low!!!!! VERY LOW flyby by a SAA Boeing737 during an Airshow held at Tempe airport in Bloemfontein

Ahhhh....... The pictures may fade but the memories certainly don't. Shot with a 75-150mm telephoto (which I still have). Found myself perched on top of a windmill to get this shot. Much to the disgust of the other photographers whom I refused to allow to join me on top - heck it was HIGH and I didn't feel too comfortable perched that high - let alone have some cowboy join me and upset the applecart!

Taken in 1988 for the DFA (Diamond Fields Advertiser) in Kimberley during the '88 floods. The only way across the river was in a boat which was run by one of the local residents who ferried people and food across the river to the town of Douglas in the Northern Cape. Composition wasn't great but I know it was the only one the DFA got that day of the river in full flood - the story behind getting the picture is worth another 1000 words!

This was circa 1991. This image was enlarged into a 1.2 x 0.9 print. Hmmm, must ask the dealer what happened to that pic!
